Operating Philosophy

MLB Advisory prioritizes activities that directly influence team culture, product quality and profit. Our goal is to help team members reach their full potential by building the foundations needed to execute at the highest levels. Our engagement begins with spending time learning the business - people first and then profit.


Success is achieved when our clients say: 

  • My team member seems happier in this new role and is now adding real value 
  • The team is actually using the system reports to make better decisions
  • We finally understand why actual sales have been much different than forecasts
  • Item profit is too low so we need to discuss options with customers including raising price, lowering cost or discontinuing


De-emphasizing activities that do not contribute to culture, product quality or profit is difficult. However, aligning on a plan is critical because letting go of non-value added activities accelerates the transformation. Finally, we provide tools to measure performance on the most critical activities because "what gets inspected, gets done."
